INSTALLING
THE GRAVESIDE MEMORY CAPSULE
NOTE!!!!
Consult with your cemetery management about
its installation before purchasing a graveside
memory capsule. Each cemetery has its own appearance
and installation rules and it is within all
of our wishes to follow those rules. All cemetery
officials that we have talked with have been
very helpful since they quickly realize that
in our new computer/internet world, these installations
are inevitable.
The most popular method of installing
a life story is in a flower vase block. These
are available at any cemetery if a new one is
required, or an older flower vase already installed
may be replaced with a Graveside Memory capsule
using the same block. There are also numerous
monument companies that build these blocks from
whom they may be directly purchased.
Using a flower vase block also
has the advantage that it solves the problem
of the double grave where the deaths occur at
different times. Two vase blocks are installed
at the time of the first burial while one is
used as a flower vase holder and the other for
a life strory memory capsule. When the second
death occurs, the flower vase is removed from
its block and replaced with a life story of
the second person.
A unique installation is shown in the section
of this site describing what a graveside memory
is. This installation was made in a bench.
Headstone companies often include
flower vase mounting arrangements as a part
of the headstone itself. These installations
may also be used for mounting Graveside Memory
Capsules.
